Using FMODD

Before you start

  • FMODD supports FM2024 and FM26 on STEAM and EPIC.
  • If FMODD cannot read the game, run FMODD as administrator.
  • Back up your game save before modifying data.

First connection

  1. Download the Windows version from the Download page and extract it to a folder you can read and write normally.
  2. Start Football Manager 24 or 26 and open the career save you want to use.
  3. Wait for the game to reach the main save screen, then start FMODD.
  4. Check the top-left corner of FMODD. It should show the detected game version and current connection status.
  5. When the connection is complete, open the tool you need from the left navigation or a feature page.

Switching saves

  1. Load another save in Football Manager and wait for the main screen to finish displaying.
  2. In FMODD, use “Change save and refresh”. Do not treat a normal page refresh as a save switch.
  3. Check the game version, save and manager information in the top-left corner again before continuing.

Game version not recognised and save not connected

When the top-left corner shows no game version and the save does not connect, work through these steps in order.

  1. Confirm that the FM game version you are using is supported.
  2. Close FMODD while keeping Football Manager and the target save open.
  3. Right-click the FMODD program and choose “Run as administrator”.
  4. Confirm the Windows permission prompt and wait for FMODD to recognise the game version and save again.
  5. If Football Manager is running as administrator, FMODD must also run as administrator. Keep both programs at the same permission level.

Usage notes

  • Do not force-close Football Manager while modifying data, saving the game or switching saves.
  • When a failure appears, keep the original message, FM version, FM platform, FMODD version and reproduction steps, then submit them through Feedback and suggestions.
